Our Approach: Scale, Speed, and Sustainability
From day one, our objective was clear: deliver a fulfillment facility that matches Amazon’s reputation for speed and efficiency, while integrating sustainable practices and local workforce engagement. Leveraging our full-service model, we managed everything from land prep to handover. We worked closely with Amazon’s national real estate division and regional operations managers to align with logistics protocols, security requirements, and workplace ergonomics.
We implemented smart HVAC zoning systems to reduce energy costs, used insulated concrete panels for efficient temperature control, and introduced water-efficient plumbing to support Amazon’s sustainability mandates. Critical infrastructure—such as fiber optics for data redundancy and 24/7 emergency power systems—was installed under the oversight of our Utility Sector Lead, Tom Harris, ensuring seamless municipal integration.
Leadership & Execution
Project Executive AJ Deerey led biweekly coordination meetings with Amazon’s development team and maintained top-level visibility on milestone achievements. Maria Lopez, Senior Project Manager, directed the daily build with a focus on scheduling, subcontractor performance, and real-time logistics reporting via Procore. Safety, precision, and progress reporting were non-negotiable standards throughout the project timeline.
We also collaborated with our core engineering partners at Vertex Engineering and key suppliers such as SunState Materials to ensure rapid material turnaround, even amid post-hurricane regional shortages.
The Naples Amazon Fulfillment Center was delivered ahead of schedule and within budget, boasting 100% inspection pass rates and zero lost-time safety incidents. The facility now employs over 300 people and supports next-day delivery operations across Southwest Florida.
Our work on the Amazon facility reinforces Pause Construction’s growing reputation as a go-to partner for high-scale commercial and logistics construction—where innovation, integrity, and execution meet.
